JLX #1: In order to save two universes, the young hero known as Access was forced to use the power of Amalgam (see Marvel versus DC (1996) #3). In this issue, members of the X-Men and JLA are merged to create Mariner (Aquaman/Sub-Mariner), Mercury (Quicksilver/Impulse), Night Creeper (Nightcrawler/Creeper), and others must stand against Will Magnus (William Stryker/Professor Magnus) and his deadly robotic Sentinels.

DOCTOR STRANGEFATE #1: In this issue, Doctor Strange and Doctor Fate (along with a mystery third, revealed on the last page) are merged to create Doctor Strangefate. The mystic Doctor Strangefate wants the man known as Access found and brought before him. To perform this task he enlist the aid of Skulk (Hulk/Solomon Grundy), Jade Nova (Green Lantern/Nova), and the White Witch (Zatanna/Scarlet Witch).

LEGENDS OF THE DARK CLAW #1: In this issue, the Dark Claw (Wolverine/Batman) must battle the deadly Hyena (Joker/Sabretooth). Luckily, he'll get some help from the Huntress (Huntress/Ms. Marvel) and Sparrow (Robin/Jubilee).
