Description
1999 Pokémon (Japanese) Charizard — CD Promo holo, PSA graded EX‑MT 6 (label shows serial 117947158). Card is the classic Japanese promo holo illustrated by Ken Sugimori from the late‑1990s CD promotion series.
Condition & grading I am listing this as a PSA‑graded example represented by the pictured slab: PSA EX‑MT 6. The slab and label are included in the photos. The card shows the kinds of wear consistent with that grade: light surface scuffs on the holo, small edge/outline whitening, and minor corner wear. Centering is slightly off toward the right/top on the front which contributed to the grade.
Notable features This is the Japanese “CD Promo” Charizard holo — an early and highly sought after promotional Charizard. The card has a collectible holo pattern with sparkle/starfield effects visible in the image area and the classic Ken Sugimori artwork that collectors prize. The card number on the lower right is No.006, matching original Japanese promo printings. The holo shows scattered reflectivity and the background contains the distinctive glitter pattern seen on these promos.
Print/artist/foil details Artist: Ken Sugimori (printed on card). Set: 1999 P.M. Japanese CD Promo (promo holo). Foil status: holo (illustration area is holographic with visible starfield/foil sparkles).
Collectible & playability notes This is primarily a collectors’ piece rather than a competitive tournament card due to its vintage promo status and Japanese text; it carries strong nostalgia and display value for late‑90s Pokémon collectors. PSA EX‑MT 6 examples are more affordable than high‑grade (PSA 8–10) copies, making this a good option for a collector who wants an original Japanese Charizard holo in a verified slab without paying top‑tier prices.
Additional observations Photos show the actual slab and card (front closeups and full front). PSA serial on label is visible — buyer can verify the grade with PSA using that number. The card will be shipped in its slab with additional protection around the case to prevent transit damage.
