"Why So Sad?" was developed by skateboarder and mental health advocate John Rattray to promote dialogue about suicide prevention in skateboarding and other contexts. Nike SB and the Scottish talent have collaborated to create a special edition SB Dunk Low that will play a significant role in this year's fundraising efforts. The mesh tongues and light blue leather foundation of this rendition of the Why So Sad? x Nike SB Dunk Low are covered in dark blue tear-away overlays that reveal yellow underneath. On the lateral heel, there is an embroidered skateboarding chicken design. The inner tongue tag has branding that reads "Why So Sad?" and the heels have question marks stitched on them. The pattern is completed by a White midsole sitting above a translucent outsole.
